Who we are

Awesomize.ai ("we", "our", or "us") is a website that curates and links to AI-powered applications ("Apps"). Most Apps launch inside OpenAI's ChatGPT. This Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our website and ChatGPT apps, and the choices you have.

Scope

  • The Awesomize.ai website and subpages (the "Site").
  • The App listings and outbound links we provide to launch Apps in ChatGPT.

This Policy does not apply to third-party services we do not control, including OpenAI's ChatGPT product, payment systems, or third-party OAuth providers you may encounter after leaving our Site. Your use of ChatGPT is governed by OpenAI's terms and privacy policy.

Information we collect

a) Contact information If you contact us or subscribe to updates: your name, email address, and the content of your message.

b) Usage and device information Log data such as IP address, browser, device/OS, referral URLs, pages viewed, timestamps, and coarse location inferred from IP (city/region level). Click events on our Site (e.g., "Open in ChatGPT", "Details") to understand interest and improve navigation. We do not know whether you completed a purchase inside ChatGPT.

c) Cookies and similar technologies Essential cookies (e.g., language preference). With your consent, analytics cookies to improve the Site.

d) App inputs and User Content We do not process your prompts or content inside ChatGPT on our servers. If an App on our Site accepts inputs directly on our domain (rare), we will process those inputs solely to provide that feature and as described here. Prompts you submit inside ChatGPT are processed by OpenAI or other providers under their policies.

e) Payment information Payments for Apps that require purchase or subscription generally occur within ChatGPT or through providers we do not control. We do not collect or store your payment card details. Relevant provider privacy policies apply.

f) Communications Information contained in emails or messages you send to us (e.g., feedback, support).

How we use information

We use information to operate and improve the Site and App directory; measure interest; communicate; detect and prevent abuse; comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

With service providers; for legal compliance; with your consent. We do not sell personal information.

Data retention

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described.

Your choices

You may disable non-essential cookies; unsubscribe from communications; request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Awesomize Mobile Application Privacy

This section describes how we handle data in the Awesomize mobile application (the "App") for Apple iOS, in addition to the website privacy practices described above. The App is operated by Vidline.

Information we collect in the App

  • Account information — when you sign in (e.g. with Google or Apple), we receive your name, email address, and a user identifier.
  • Content and inputs — the text prompts you submit and the photos, images, or videos you upload, generate, or save in the App. The media you upload may include images of people (for example, faces). This content is used to generate the output you request and is sent to third-party AI providers for that purpose, as described under "Third parties / processors" and "AI processing notice and your consent" below.
  • Purchase information — your subscription and Credits status. Payments are processed by Apple; we do not receive or store your full payment card details.
  • Device and usage data — device model, operating system version, app version, language, in-app activity, and crash/diagnostic data.
  • Push token — if you enable notifications.

How we use information

To provide AI generation and other App features; to operate subscriptions and Credits; to provide customer support; to moderate content and prevent abuse; to maintain security; to analyze and improve the App; and to comply with legal obligations.

Third parties / processors

  • Apple — In-App Purchase / subscriptions and Sign in with Apple.
  • Google — Sign-In and, where used, Firebase services (authentication, Crashlytics crash reporting, analytics, Cloud Messaging for push).
  • Third-party AI service providers — to generate the content you request, the App sends your text prompts and the photos, images, or videos you upload (which may include images of people, such as faces) to the third-party AI services that power image and video generation, namely ByteDance (including its "Seedance" image- and video-generation services). These providers receive and process your prompts and uploaded media on our behalf solely to generate the content you ask for.

We contractually require these providers to protect your data, to use it only to perform services for us, and to provide a level of protection at least equivalent to that described in this Policy. We do not sell your personal information.

AI processing notice and your consent

Generating content is the App's core function and requires sending your data to the third-party AI services listed above. The first time you start a generation, the App displays an in-app notice that describes what data is sent (your prompt and any photos/images/videos you add) and who it is sent to (our third-party AI service providers), and asks for your consent. Your prompt and uploaded media are transmitted to these providers only after you agree; if you decline, nothing is sent. You should upload only content you own or have permission to use, and you should not upload images of other people without their consent.

Data retention and deletion

We retain App data only as long as needed for the purposes above. You can delete your account directly in the App (Profile / Settings → Delete Account); this deletes your profile and associated personal data. You may also request access or deletion by contacting [email protected]. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
